In Bulgaria there are two veterinary medicine faculties. One in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria,part of the University of Forestry. The other one is located in Stara Zagora, a city located 200 kilometres away from the capital and the faculty of veterinary medicine is part of Trakia University.
There are advantages and disadvantages when deciding which one to choose. If you are a social person Sofia offers many outgoing opportunities, easy access and great trasport facilities. The campus is also located in a very popular area of sofia known as “the student city”. Life in sofia is expensive compared to Stara Zagora. However the tuition fees are less expensive, 4500 euros per year compared to 5500 euros per year.
